What made the stay especially memorable was how easily we could explore Palermo. From Via Alloro, the historic center’s lanes are just a short walk away, packed with cultural sights and monuments to discover. A free shuttle stops a few meters from the apartment and gives you a fairly complete tour of the old center. Palermo has made the historic center traffic-free in recent years, with hundreds of places to eat and drink and enjoy the nightlife. Via Alloro also faces the Foro Italico, where bars and ice cream shops look out over a large lawn where you can lie in the grass. If you want to experience the city, Il Sonno dei Giusti is perfectly placed. The owner was very helpful and quick and clear in replying. We arrived to find water, fruit juice, and snacks. We liked the apartment so much that we decided at the last minute to stay an extra day. Since it wasn't booked, the owner let us add another night, which was wonderful. There were four of us, two adults and two children. The bedroom has a large bed, and the sofa bed was comfortable enough. The kitchen is new and fully usable, with a stove, oven, sink, coffee machine, toaster, and everything needed for cooking. The bathroom has a roomy shower, and there's a washing machine just outside the apartment. A code-operated elevator takes you to the floor. The renovated apartment is well maintained, with a reinforced entrance door leading to two apartments, each secured by its own sturdy key lock. One thing to know is that it's near a lively venue and on a street people use to walk into the city center, so voices and chatter might disturb your sleep. It didn't bother us. We knew about it and wanted to be in the middle of things, and it made for a special holiday. We wouldn't hesitate about where to stay next time.

Silvia was kind, helpful, and really empathetic, and I would happily stay here again. The apartment is roomy and well equipped, with an elevator, and it wasn't too noisy. It's on Via Alloro, almost right above Alcolica Pharmacy, and just a few minutes on foot from Ballaro Market, Quatro Canti, Via Maqueda, and other sights.

In Palermo's Kalsa district, this apartment is a great base. There are lots of restaurants, bars, terraces, and sights close by, and it's easy to get around quickly.

The apartment was new, lovely, and very clean. Elena was kind and helpful. It's conveniently located for the center, and parking at Piazza Magione is handy.
