Suite Quaroni

The room was clean and the location convenient, but that didn’t make up for the poor service, lack of professionalism and inaccurate listing. There was just one key card, no iron and no laundry facilities. Laundry had been advertised on Expedia, but when we asked about it, the owner said they had never had it and that the listing wasn’t their problem. Check-in took a long time because the same person was handling reception and parking, and there was no proper reception staff member who could speak English. Communication was difficult. We were also told the payment machine wasn’t working because of an internet disconnection, so we had to pay the parking fee in cash right away. The internet stayed down for all three days and two nights, but staff seemed to make little effort to fix it. The manager wasn’t there when we tried to discuss the problems. Instead, she sent a rude, unprofessional message saying the internet issue was “not their problem” and that the laundry listing was wrong, with no apology or attempt to put things right. We were repeatedly asked to pay parking and tourism fees in cash. It was the worst hotel customer service I’ve experienced.

Suite Quaroni is right in the center, with restaurants on the street as soon as you step outside. There are plenty of breakfast options, so it doesn’t really need to call itself a B&B. We parked at Parcheggio Marqueda, where Francesco showed us the parking space and took us to our room without our having to leave the building. Palermo really impressed us. There’s so much to see, and we’ll come back to Suite Quaroni. The room was clean and had everything we needed.

Simon was amazing and helped us with everything. Our room was quiet, with a terrace overlooking the inner courtyard, a spacious bathroom and good Wi-Fi. The bed and pillows were extremely comfortable, and there was even a salon quality blowdryer. Suite Quaroni is centrally placed in Palermo, within walking distance of the historical sites, harbor and train station, with a car rental place a block away. We had a wonderful stay and would highly recommend it.
