Sergio was a lovely, attentive host, and his English was good enough to be helpful. The views across Palermo and out to sea are fantastic. It's a great setup for a week by the pool, with a local supermarket about a 15-minute walk away. The paths aren't great, so watch out for traffic. I'd suggest hiring a car if you're confident driving in Italy, though Sergio can also arrange reasonably priced taxis through his contacts.

The host and staff were so kind and helpful, and Nono Sergio has made the place feel like a little paradise. It’s the best hotel I’ve stayed at. I’ll recommend it to my friends and come back myself.

The location was the main drawback, and I’d recommend having a car. Walking to the train station means following an overgrown slip road. The rooms were a bit rustic but passable, and we enjoyed the pool. Service was great.

The deep pool and lovely garden were highlights, and the host was really friendly. I did miss having somewhere in the room to keep things cold, like a mini freezer.
