Yooroom

This “hotel” was laughably bad. We’d booked three nights through Booking.com in a room with a double bed and sofa bed, but they put us in a single-bed room and refused to give us what we’d paid for. The bed was terribly uncomfortable and offered no support. The shared room had free tea and “biscuits,” but that added no real value. The front desk woman also wouldn’t set the AC below 25°C, so the room was swelteringly hot and humid. Bathrooms were outside the room and outdated. The Booking.com listing never said the “hotel” was on the fifth floor of a run-down, dirty apartment building. For a hostel-style room with a detached bathroom and such poor air conditioning, the price was outrageous. We bailed on the booking and walked around Palermo until we found another real hotel. We forfeited the full cost of all three nights, and neither Booking.com nor the front desk offered a partial refund. This place was so bad we gave up our reservation entirely. Go anywhere else in Palermo. We can’t understand all the good reviews.
