The cold air conditioning in our room was a miracle during the warm days and nights. My girlfriend and I wanted a comfortable, friendly place where we could feel like locals and stay close to the action. We had an amazing time and felt at home. The room was just right for resting between our adventurous days, and every staff member was kind, friendly, and understanding.

We were charged 40 euro for two sandwiches like these and a bottle of water, plus 5 euro per person for service. You can judge for yourself. We only ate at the restaurant, so I can't say anything about the hotel, but the photo gives you an idea of the quality and service.

The mozzarella toast was bland and carelessly made, with no sign of attention. Poor value too, since the portion and quality didn't come close to justifying the price.

The welcome was friendly, and they included a pickup from the harbour. We had a nice view from both the balcony and the pool. But the room was in poor condition: mould, a shower that wouldn't drain, a broken bathroom window, and a bad smell in the cupboard. We came at the end of the season and didn't feel welcome. The pool wasn't being cleaned anymore, the tables and sun loungers had already been put away, and breakfast had little choice.

The rooms are a bit dated and breakfast was just okay, but the other positives made up for both. Staff were super friendly and helpful, the views gorgeous, and the location excellent for the price. Having a pool on Panarea is a real bonus, and there's also great access to a swimming spot in the sea just below the hotel. We recommend hiring a boat to explore the rest of the island and visit Stromboli. We had a few relaxing days here, and we're sad to leave!
