Podere Poggio San Vito

We felt at home at Poggio San Vito from the moment we arrived. Mr. Valter’s welcome was warm, cheerful, and genuine, and the quiet countryside and lovely views made a great impression. The farmhouse is comfortable, with clean indoor and outdoor spaces and a wonderful pool. It’s also well placed for visiting many Umbrian sights. There’s everything you need to cook, plus a roomy bathroom with clean towels. The bedrooms are large and have a complete bed with sheets and blankets. It worked well for our group, and seems ideal for friends, families with children or young adults, and people bringing a dog. My experience was excellent.

The pool was gorgeous, and the quiet setting made it easy to unwind. We stayed in the large ground-floor apartment, where the rooms were spacious and, especially, cool. Gabriele and his father Walter were kind and very helpful.

The pool is a real plus, though it was still a little cold in early June. There’s charm to the holiday home, and the interior is okay, if somewhat dated. For the price, the accommodation doesn’t need to be perfect, but a more modern bathroom and less worn shower head and screen could have earned it another star.

The owner's kindness, courtesy, and willingness to help made the stay even better, and the pool was a lovely bonus. It brought back the feeling of visiting my grandparents’ country home as a child. Such peace and quiet here. A few things could be improved, but they’re minor. We’ll be back!
