The one person who made us feel welcome was the girl at the mini market. She was lovely, helpful, and deserves a big thank you 💕 The setting is beautiful, and the place could be amazing, but we're not recommending it. We left two days early and moved to another hotel 50 minutes away, which made all the difference. The staff weren't friendly, didn't speak English, and gave us no useful information when we arrived about meals, restaurant hours, or table arrangements. Dinner felt like a school canteen, with three main course choices that were all bad. Breakfast was very limited, with no yogurts. We went to Paola for dinner instead and were glad we did, the place is amazing. The walk to our bungalow was a hike, and noise at night kept us awake. The beach is pretty, but much too crowded, loud, and lacking any peaceful spot. We actually preferred the nearby public beach to the hotel's beach. It felt loud and rude, with a bad attitude, and not suited to international visitors.

I couldn't sleep because the music went on at night. They should really turn it off after 23:30. It's not a bad village, but being kept awake like that feels offensive. I'm not coming back.

I'm still at the village as I write this, and can't wait to leave. It feels like prison, with someone always watching and no right to complain. We complained about the food last night. At breakfast today, a waiter kept watching us, as if waiting for us to do something wrong. When we left the table with three croissants, he scolded us in front of all the other guests. Other people leave the breakfast room every day with bags full of food, but they probably don't complain, so apparently that's fine. The rooms are tiny, with very old furniture. For a family of five, they gave us one toilet roll. I could say more, but I'll just say this: DON'T COME HERE!
