B&B Silver Sleep

Angelo was kind, reliable, and attentive to what we needed. When we were leaving, he even offered to take our bags to the cars in his own car, sparing us quite a lot of stairs. The B&B is in the historic center, near the Church of San Costantino. We parked by an old bell tower at the highest point of town after a steep climb, then went up an ancient staircase to reach it. Recently renovated, the place is well kept and very clean, with all the basics: hairdryer, TV, air conditioning, and a refrigerator with water and soft drinks included. Each roomy bathroom has shampoo and shower gel. The rooms have a double bed and a fold-away single, and ours had space for four, two adults and two children. Truly TOP!

We picked this B&B because it’s near the Lao River’s main sports activities, and spent a few days in beautiful Papasidero, tucked into the Pollino mountains. The owner greeted us professionally and kindly, then told us about the area’s historical and cultural sights, trekking, rafting, other activities, and places for lunch. The included breakfast is served at a local café-restaurant, reached on foot by the village’s characteristic stairways. Our room was bright and spotless, and the minibar had plenty of water. Housekeeping came every two days and changed all the linens. Angelo and his wife were available whenever we needed information and made us feel comfortable right away, as did the other locals.

Angelo was a big part of what made this stay so nice. He was kind, helpful, and always ready with useful suggestions for things to do and see. We felt welcomed and well looked after. The B&B is comfortable, carefully maintained, and quiet, with spacious spotless rooms and everything needed to feel at home. Breakfast at the bar was great, and the location made it easy to explore the area. We highly recommend it for a peaceful break with people who care about their work. One tip: don't buy anything from the grocery store in Piazza Umberto I.

Our family suite was super clean, and Angelo and his wife made us feel very welcome. We had a fun, relaxing August holiday in the wonderful village of Papasidero. I’d recommend staying here if you want both a bit of fun and some downtime. Definitely worth a visit.
