Best Western Plus Hotel Farnese

I was in Parma for work this time, but I’ll be back and plan to stay at the Best Western Plus Hotel Farnese. It’s close to the city centre, even if it’s not right in it. The rooms were clean and the staff friendly. Nice hotel.

The renovations made our stay especially unpleasant. Work was happening on our floor, and when we asked to change rooms, we were told afternoon renovations were allowed. On checkout day, though, the noise began at 8 a.m. We chose this hotel for the pool and because pets were accepted, but the pool was small, basic, poorly maintained, offered no privacy, and had a shower that didn’t work properly. There weren’t any green areas nearby to walk the dogs, and I didn’t find the hotel dog-friendly. Breakfast was basic too, and the machine coffee was terrible.

The staff were friendly and helpful, and the pool was clean and pleasant. Our room was nice and clean, and the air conditioning worked well. It was very small for four people, though. We stayed three nights.

I spent one night in a superior room at this modern hotel. It was quiet and clean, and the location and amenities, including EV chargers, were good. The terrace wasn’t very useful: the view was blocked, there was basically nothing on it, and its door barely kept out sound. In the bathroom, two of us had two robes but just one hanger. The TV was big, though I think a bigger one would suit such a nice, spacious superior room.
