After camping in a basic tent, I was glad to find a hotel-like place online. They offered me two nights for around €50 including breakfast, and, most importantly, somewhere safe and secure to park my little van. Per night, that was about what I’d paid at the best campsite in Croatia. The friendly, accommodating staff showed me where the bathrooms were, and I was surprised and delighted to find I had a brand new shower room all to myself. The bed was comfortable, the shutters kept out all the light, and there was air conditioning. I did wish towels were provided, but I had brought my own. Breakfast was fairly basic, which seemed right for Italy. I would’ve preferred bakery-style bread; the croissants were quite good and the jam tasty. The breakfast service was kind and friendly, and they seemed genuinely excited to serve it. When I came back for an afternoon nap, I also had a beer from the bar, a nice little extra.

The rooms are simple and fine, with a bathroom in the room, and everything was clean. It’s about a 30-minute walk from the centre, but I rented a bike and found that useful. There’s a big shopping centre and supermarkets nearby, which is handy. Breakfast is very basic, though they made me a soy cappuccino. I hope I can get a vegan croissant next time. I recommend it.

The rooms were spacious and the place was clean, so the stay was pleasant. But when I arrived, none of the staff spoke English. I had to come back later once someone who could speak it was there. There are also very few electric outlets in the room. I counted five, which is dramatically few for six guests.

For a cheap stay, this is a nice place. It has the usual hostel facilities, except there’s no kitchen. The town centre is maybe a 30-minute walk, or you can rent one of their bikes if you prefer.

The staff were really kind, and the rooms were clean and cheap. It’s about 25 minutes from the centre. Definitely recommend it!
