Lunch was excellent every day. The rooms were large and very clean, and the staff were friendly and flexible about special requests. Such a great place.

The rooms feel a little old fashioned, but that suits the building. The food was excellent. If you stay here, make time for the restaurant and enjoy a good wine and grappa.

The spot itself is beautiful, and the old building has been renovated well. We really liked the place, and the food was good, which makes what happened all the more upsetting. Breakfast was poor: you had to ask for coffee and wait while it was made one person at a time. With only two people working at the hotel, they couldn’t manage a big group. From the first day, the wife seemed to have it in for some of us. She threatened us with unkindness, and the way she looked at us frightened some of the girls in our group. They kept the guests who caused trouble at the hotel. At night, they locked the doors and turned off all the lights, which felt like being in a prison rather than a hotel. They were racist toward us. Such a sad experience in a beautiful place.
