Villa Primaluce Trasimeno

Barbara was so kind and went out of her way to help us. Our group of seven adults and two children had a relaxing holiday in idyllic surroundings at Villa Primaluce. The old rustic stone house is lovely and unspoilt, with modern facilities arranged so they don’t take away from its character. Thick walls kept it pleasantly cool in the heat, and all the bedrooms have en suite bathrooms. Outside, there are shady places to eat or relax throughout the day, plus table tennis and a trampoline for the children. The pool was delightful and very clean. I’d happily recommend it.

Barbara and Leonardo were responsive and helpful before, during, and after booking. We spent a week at Villa Primaluce in early May and loved it. The climb up to the villa is a bit of a challenge, but the views over the area and lake make it worthwhile. It’s quiet and well placed for visiting the main sights of Tuscany and Umbria. The villa has castle-like walls but all the comforts of modern life, with lots of space and different spots to sit, relax, and enjoy yourself.

We spent most of our time by the pool, which was ideal, with plenty of umbrellas, chairs, shade, and even floats to lounge on. The house was well equipped overall, though a few lightbulbs needed replacing, and the bedroom air conditioning came in handy during the two days over 100 degrees. Up a long dirt road, Villa Primaluce looks out over Lake Trasimeno, a beautiful backdrop for meals and aperitifs on the terrace. Barbara and Leonardo made sure we had what we needed before arriving, arranged an unforgettable dinner at the house with chef Annalisa, and shared useful nearby restaurant and meal recommendations. We hope we’re lucky enough to return, and would absolutely recommend it to future renters.

It was hard to leave at the end of our stay. The house has everything you need, with lovely places to eat or simply sit and farniente. The 12m pool is wonderful, with sun and shade at different times of day, and the nearby forest adds to the authentic feel. Barbara and Leonardo were kind and hospitable, always available while still giving us space. A beautiful, harmonious place.
