I stopped at this bar before going into the supermarket and politely ordered a coffee. I'd paid by card all around Grado, even for a single coffee, but when I went to pay the woman reacted with, “WITH CARD!?!?! €1.40???? DO YOU THINK THAT?!?!” Her tone was really rude. I tried to keep things friendly and said I'd go to the car to find coins and bills. She raised an eyebrow like I was trying to run off over €1.40, then told me to stay and pay by card after all. I even offered to leave my phone on the counter while I went to get change, but she just huffed and said we'd “get out the paper.” The bar was empty, oddly enough. Maybe dealing with customers isn't the right job for her. In response to her comment, I want to ask: did I make up that I said I'd go to the car for change? Or that I offered to leave my phone with her while I was gone? Did I invent her rude tone and attitude? She should learn how to treat customers. I'd spent a month on holiday in Grado and visited around thirty businesses. This was the only negative review I had to write. She should ask herself why.

It was a peaceful, family-friendly place, and the service was friendly. The cappuccino and croissant were especially delicious.

The coffee and service were good, even though things felt rushed because they were short-staffed. The barista managed everything quickly on her own and stayed calm and courteous, even with demanding customers. I left with a good impression after a short stop. Recommended.
