The pitches sit in the shade, with trees between them, and the farm campsite has the essentials without being fancy. The owner was so welcoming he let us in even though it looked closed, then shared great walking tips for the area. And there were adorable, cuddly kittens too. A lovely place to stay.

We paid a very reasonable €20 a night for two people. We camped in our tent in the designated pitch area, while the same company also manages a farmhouse across the road. The owner greeted us warmly and had plenty of suggestions for exploring nearby. There’s a spot to barbecue and eat outside, plus bathrooms and showers with hot water for €0.50 or cold water. Highly recommend!

If you’re after pools and loungers, this probably isn’t the place. It’s a simple, well-equipped campsite for people who enjoy nature. We stayed among olive groves, about 10 minutes from the center of Leuca, and the pitches work for campers or cars with tents. There’s electricity, restrooms, and outdoor showers, cold for free or hot for 50 cents. The owner was honest and kind, and gave us useful travel suggestions. We even befriended a gecko.

The owner is a genuinely down-to-earth man, and we never felt he was trying to rip us off. He speaks Italian, but manages quite well in French, and really makes an effort to help, with lots of good local advice. The campsite is quiet and set among olive groves; electricity is available, and the toilets and showers were clean and worked well. He also runs a bed and breakfast, which we’d like to try if we’re back in the area. I’d happily recommend this place.
