Hotel Aurora

We’ve already been to Aurora three times this winter with groups of 40, and we’ll be back. The staff are really friendly, and the value is excellent. The ski bus stops right outside. Dinner comes with an appetizer, pasta, a meat dish, then dessert, and breakfast is a traditional buffet. The homemade food is delicious. Rooms were cleaned every day, with comfortable mattresses and a decent bathroom, and there’s a ski room for guests. The one thing that bothered us was that our towels weren’t changed during our 7-day stay, not even halfway through. I’d still happily recommend the place.

The Val di Sole Guest Card is a real plus here, since it lets guests use the ski lifts and transport throughout Val di Sole free of charge. We stayed over the August bank holiday, and the price for what we got was excellent. As the leader of a family group of 73, with children and grandparents, I appreciated being given clear rules to sign at booking, so there were no surprises. Even so, the hotel was flexible when we asked for menu changes or needed to adjust things as we went. The chapel is a little small for a hotel this size, and the meeting room is very simple, but both were useful for our group. The breakfast buffet was good, and packed lunches were available for excursions. Rooms are basic but well kept. The parking area isn’t huge, though it was enough for us. There’s also a large playground with soccer, volleyball, and basketball courts. The hotel is close to Peio Fonti center, about a five-minute walk from the ski lifts to Tarlenta, and the view over the Peio Valley is spectacular.

The food was excellent, and you can really taste the difference from the local ingredients. Every dish was prepared and served with care. Staff were polite, friendly, and ready to help with whatever we needed. The rooms were spacious and comfortable, and the whole place was clean and tidy. Outside, there’s a big green area with playgrounds for children and wonderful views across the valley, plus convenient reserved parking. It’s a spectacular property in a fantastic spot. We found this place through ospitalitàreligiosa and were very happy with the choice. The welcome was warm, the food was great, and everything was kept really clean. Our room wasn’t especially large, but it was plenty for three people. We loved the mountain-style furniture and the sloped ceiling with exposed beams. The private bathroom had what older guests and people with disabilities might need, including grab bars and a shower seat. You can walk to the ski lifts and the Terme. The lifts are free with the Trentino guest card, though there’s a €15 deposit for the card that lets you access them directly. Definitely recommend it.
