What made the stay for us was the help and kindness of Giovanni and Mattia, always there if we needed them, and their dog Tatú, who was always up for a cuddle. The place itself is beautiful and almost magical, with a gorgeous landscape, a breathtaking pool, and a swing looking out over the sunset. Everything we needed was provided, the service was excellent, and breakfast was packed with tasty homemade food. We’d recommend it to everyone for all sorts of reasons. Early June brought us fireflies, stars, butterflies, and the smell of freshly mown meadows during a short but intense weekend. Between the nature, art, and culture, we felt completely relaxed and almost ecstatic. Giovanni and Mattia were warm and helpful, offering plenty of ideas for places to visit, things to discover, and food to try. They were around when we needed them without ever intruding. It was a great experience for both body and mind, and one we’ll definitely repeat.

Giovanni and Mattia made us feel welcome in the Pergola countryside. The garden is lovely and well kept, and the stay was a chance to enjoy art and culture alongside the beautiful landscape.

I came across this place by chance, but it really stayed with me. Giovanni and Mattia care for the beautiful farmhouse surrounded by nature with so much love, and they’re special people. Giovanni, Gaggia the maestro, is a great artist despite his humility. His project and art are dedicated to the Ustica tragedy, a poetic political practice that deserves admiration and support. I’d recommend this experience to anyone who values sharing and simplicity. Thank you for being such hosts. I respect and appreciate you! Flora

Casa Sponge has a peaceful, beautiful setting and a soothing, inspiring atmosphere. Mattia and Giovanni were exceptionally kind, attentive, and ready to help, and gave us great ideas for exploring the region. Everything felt just right.
