The historic building has such a lovely atmosphere, and the garden is a beautiful spot to spend a relaxed day. We stayed for 10 days and were treated like family, really looked after. Whenever we needed something for the room, Novello brought it once we let him know. Francesca even made delicious food for the babies when we needed it. Breakfast was abundant and the service was lovely. There are plenty of special places nearby, including Assisi, Gubbio, Orvieto and Spoleta. Wonderful place, wonderful people.

We especially loved the restaurant. Francesca's cooking, made with carefully chosen local ingredients and so much care, made each dinner feel like a journey and completed our stay. Dimora dell’Artista is a peaceful base for visiting Umbria's beautiful villages, from Gubbio to Todi, Orvieto, Assisi, Spello and beyond, then coming back to relax. The villa dates from the late 14th century, and its thoughtful restoration keeps its historic charm. Rooms are comfortable and stylish, and the bathrooms are modern and practical. Art and care show in all the details. The house is clean and calm, and the family and staff are so friendly that you feel welcomed by everyone. We recommend the Artist's Residence for its beauty, authenticity, and warm welcome in a unique historic setting. It stays in your heart.

She's also a charming, wise, charismatic hostess, with an artistic vision you can feel throughout the home. Surrounded by greenery, scents, quiet, and beauty, this magical place quickly won us over. Every corner has a story, and the details are lovingly chosen to suit the home's historic character. Novello and Francesca welcomed us so warmly and genuinely that we felt part of something special, not just guests. The owners are professional and always available, with a rare kindness and a thoughtful, discreet way of making you comfortable.
