The Bank Hotel - Etruria Collection

The location was perfect, and breakfast at the sister hotel was excellent. The concept was beautifully designed, but the execution was off and the hotel didn’t seem ready for guests. Getting in meant walking through a construction zone, and the tarp-covered walkway was flooded. The room lights were frustrating to use, so I had to sleep with some on the first night. The bathroom door opens in a way that leaves no privacy when someone is using the toilet or bidet, since a person lying on the bed can see directly in. The safe instructions were wrong, even though reception assured me they were correct. The safe and fridge cupboard take up space inside the clothes hanging area, cutting the already tiny amount of closet space by more than half.

I adore Perugia, and waking up to a view over the heart of the city was a highlight. It’s a stunning hotel, newly renovated with obvious care, and the bed was so comfortable I slept really well. The check-in building is about 50 meters away and easy to find. Reception is there 24/7, just one call away. Everyone I met on staff was friendly and ready to help. If you’re new to Perugia or want ideas for places to eat and things to do, the reception team really know their stuff. They suggested great restaurants, wine bars, and outings around the city and nearby towns. Thanks to them, I found a new favorite restaurant, Altromondo. A fabulous stay, and I can’t wait to return.

We had four wonderful days and really didn’t want to go. The rooms are modern and cozy, with a beautiful space and an amazing shower. The staff were so friendly and happy to help with everything, from booking dinner at fantastic restaurants to arranging a late breakfast. That breakfast was delicious too. Thank you for the kindness and hospitality, we’ll definitely be back.

We booked at the last minute and were amazed by the room and the staff. The room had just been built, with exceptional finishing, and even when we left it in a mess each day, it was cleaned impeccably. The counter staff were cheerful and very helpful. The location was great, close enough to pop back for a nap. Best part of our holiday!
