The lodging felt very homey, and the area around it was beautiful with plenty nearby. Our host family were warm and made sure we were comfortable. They even did some laundry for us, and breakfast was a personalized, traditional Italian spread.

The outside areas are lovely, especially the pool and garden, and the animals are all child-friendly and happy to be petted. Inside, though, the single beds are tiny and uncomfortable, and the pillows are hard as rocks, so bring your own. That cost it a star for me.

We had a large suite in a quiet spot, and the hosts were great.

Such a calm, lovely setting, and the people there were incredibly hospitable.

The breakfast was a real highlight, with plenty of sweet and savory food made from fresh ingredients from the farmhouse. Antonella was attentive, friendly, and a delight to meet. The rooms were welcoming and well cared for, too. Set in the cool, quiet hills of Massarosa, the farmhouse feels like a little paradise, while the sea is only about 30 minutes away. A lovely choice if you’re after peace and an authentic stay.
