Centro Turistico San Nicola

SHOCKING. My family and I spent many holidays here over the years. The location is fantastic, and the prices used to be reasonable, even though the toilets and other facilities were already very old and poor. We came back last summer and only found out the price had gone up by 40% when we went to pay on our last day. For what reason? The toilets were still old and dirty, ants were everywhere, and there were mice and snakes around our tents and on the roof of the toilet block. If the owners change and prices rise, something should improve, instead of loyal customers feeling ripped off. We won't come back.

It's not easy to get to Peschici or shop for anything beyond the basics without a car or an electric bike or scooter, especially with the uphill ride in summer heat. There's a friendly, efficient taxi option for 6€ per person one way. For Wi-Fi and phone coverage, stick near the bar or restaurant, as the staff helpfully point out when you arrive. And watch out for ants: talc or another powder around wheels and other items can help, as can trimming any tree branches touching the outside of your camper, since ants can use them as a route. The location itself is lovely and peaceful, the staff are friendly and helpful, and the kids' activities are great for families. The water is very clean, and snorkeling near the rocky edges is fun.

We had a really relaxing stay here, and I'm grateful to the staff for that. The bar team are friendly, and there were some great live music nights. The location is lovely, with beautiful surroundings and one of the region's nicest sandy beaches. I was here with my wife and two kids and would definitely recommend it. The weak Wi-Fi and phone signal turn out to be a blessing in disguise.

The Wi-Fi service has been really poor for years. You pay 10 Euro for seven days, but it stops working after one day and there's no support. My Wi-Fi worked fine all over Italy, just not at San Nicolas. Staff told me the problem was my tablet, and there was no refund. A real shame for a campsite like this.
