The rooms are lovely and spacious, and ours had an amazing view. The hotel is in a charming medieval village, and we were welcomed with wonderful hospitality. A car is useful since nearby towns with restaurants are at least a half-hour drive away. Just be ready for very narrow streets on the way up.

The peaceful setting and the view over Petroio from our room were unforgettable. The room was spacious and comfortable after a long day of shopping and travel, and the scenery is easily five-star. Getting there by car was stressful, especially with a larger vehicle. The streets are very narrow, and the walk downhill to the parking area is steep. We carried three heavy suitcases down because I wasn't comfortable driving the car back up the next morning. A few other practical details made the stay less flexible. The lobby closes between 8 and 8:30 PM, so late arrivals need to arrange things ahead. Breakfast has to be ordered the day before because the hotel has a small staff and only nine rooms. There's an elevator for luggage, but guests can't use it, and it had some functionality problems during our stay. I also got a towel with noticeable black stains, which spoiled the charm a bit. It's a solid three-star hotel with a quiet atmosphere and an unbeatable view. The practical hurdles are worth planning for if you're going for the scenery.

The terrace was lovely at any hour, and in the evening, with the lights on, it felt magical. We had a restful stay in this beautiful hotel in a beautiful, quiet medieval village. The rooms are lovely, the views stunning, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was okay, continental, and handy to have ready so we didn't have to look for food first thing in the morning. Thank you for a lovely stay.

The water was lukewarm when I tried to shower in the afternoon before going out to dinner, but it was great in the morning, so choose your shower time. The view is to die for, especially from an end-of-building room, though the other rooms seemed good too. It's an absolutely gorgeous place and worth visiting. Stay a couple of nights if you can, so there's time to relax on the terrace with a drink and a nibble.

I had a confirmed reservation at Hotel Palazzo Brandano and paid the required deposit a week before my stay. The day after paying, my mother passed away, the greatest pain of my life. I told the hotel right away and asked kindly for the deposit back, since check-in was still a full week away. They refused the refund. Then, the very next day, they charged the full remaining reservation balance to my credit card without my authorization. I had given them my card details only to guarantee the reservation, not for an automatic charge. Their response showed no empathy during an incredibly difficult time, and I found the way they handled it abusive and disrespectful. It felt like money mattered more to them than basic human decency. I consider this a hotel with no ethics or respect for its guests, and no ability to handle a situation with even minimal compassion. I'll never set foot there, and I strongly discourage anyone who values respect and humanity from booking.
