Agriturismo i Cascetti

The rooms were okay, though the views vary: some look out nicely, while others face a warehouse. We came from Rome and rented every room so we could spend two days at the pool. Only when we arrived did we learn it closed after 8 pm. If the ad had said so, we wouldn’t have booked. That was really disappointing. There’s no shared space apart from a very uncomfortable bench, and the staff showed no flexibility.

A clean pool, a kitchen with everything you need, and a lovely setting among olive trees.

You get a view, a pool, small apartments with kitchenettes, and a lounge with an oven everyone can use. It’s a simple, genuine place without frills, which suited me.

We used this farmhouse as a base for visiting the nearby spas. The mini apartments have kitchenettes, so you can have a relaxed, independent holiday in a well-kept area. There’s a pool too. I’d recommend it, as well as the town of Piancastagnaio.
