The outside looks lovely, the decor is alright, and the location makes it fairly easy to reach places like Sorrento and Pompeii. There are also things to do on site, including an escape room, a little children’s play area, table tennis and a seating area. But the rooms were a letdown, and I’d personally avoid this hotel. When we arrived, the room and bathroom smelled unpleasant; opening the windows, which had useful bug screens, didn’t get rid of it. The toilet often struggled to flush, the sheets had a few stains, the glass toilet door didn’t lock, the showers felt cramped, and hot water was only available at certain times. They told us not to eat in the rooms because of hens, but later we saw rats outside and ants too. The pool didn’t look clean to me and was green, though perhaps cleaning was still in progress. Breakfast had a few choices, such as buns, cereal and different drinks. Dinner was too salty, and the pasta had no sauce. There’s a lot the facilities need to improve.

The place was friendly, clean and cheap, and very good for kids, but it’s run down and badly needs updating and renovation. The heat in my room didn’t work, so it was quite cool.

There were ants and rats everywhere. I even ate a lollipop with dead ants in it. The food was far too salty, and we got hardly any portions. I’d never stay here again.

The staff were rude, there was no hot water, and the rooms smelled rancid. Mold was everywhere, and the food gave me food poisoning.

The location made it easy to visit Amalfi, Positano and Sorrento, and it was a good way to experience Italian life away from the tourists. I had a wonderful stay in Sorrento. The hotel was comfortable, and the staff were incredibly helpful, especially Dominico at reception, who helped me throughout my journey. I highly recommend it.
