Lucia’s kindness started the evening we arrived, when she heard I wasn’t feeling well, stopped cleaning the next room, and brought me hot tea and cookies. She kept checking on both me and my partner right up to the end of our stay. The B&B Regina di Saba is spotless, quiet, comfortable, and nicely decorated. Her breakfasts had both savory and sweet choices and were filling, and she even arranged a ride with Salvatore to our next B&B in Agrigento. We’d stayed at five B&Bs while traveling through Sicily, and each owner had their own lovely personality. Lucia was another of those people. Her son had checked us in earlier, and later she offered us a ride to the ruins, since she’s a registered guide at Roma de Casale. We went early and beat the big crowds, so we had the place almost to ourselves. We stayed until she finished work and rode back with her. She’s a very caring person and a treasure in Piazza Amerina.

I’d paid everything through Expedia, but the owner still wanted the €3 tax in cash. He wouldn’t take a card and couldn’t give change, so he sent me to a kiosk some distance away to break a bill. That cost me at least ten minutes.

We were moved to another room after the host helped sort out a broken heater in the one we’d first been given. The furnishings were new and clean, and the price was great. It was a perfect overnight stop after visiting Villa Romana del Casale, and the host was very kind. Bravo! One thing to watch: Google Maps has the address wrong. I asked for it to be changed. The street is "Via La Pergola," but Maps sends you to "Via Pergola." They’re close together, which is confusing, and I ended up at the wrong house, haha. Use the Maps pin I made sure was in the right spot. The correct street is very close to Viale della Libertà, 13. Buon viagge!

The room was very nice, and the friendly people there helped us arrange a ride to Agrigento through Francesco. It worked perfectly for our visit to the Villa.

Nothing was missing from the room. It and the bathroom were spacious, clean, and comfortable, with an excellent bed and mattress. Cyra had taken care of the details, and the owner also works as a tour guide.
