The setting is gorgeous and peaceful, with a nice breeze taking the edge off the high daytime temperatures. It’s also a great base for seeing the beautiful towns around Val d’Orcia. The air conditioning was the main letdown: those units without an outdoor unit were noisy and didn’t cool the rooms well. There were wasps by the pool, a damaged outdoor table, and insect screens in the rooms that were broken or missing. After we reported it, someone came to look right away, which was appreciated, though the screens couldn’t be fixed then. Still, I’d highly recommend the place.

From the house, the view over Val d'Orcia is breathtaking as soon as you wake up. We rented the small studio, which worked well for two, and the surroundings are fantastic. Gianmario was very kind and helpful. His English isn’t great, but he still did a good job explaining how everything worked.

The farmhouse has lovely architecture and amazing views, with plenty to enjoy nearby. It’s close to Pienza and other places too, so it worked really well for our family trip.

We spent the hot Tuscan days out and came back to a refreshing pool. The farmhouse was spacious and had everything we needed, and the host was easy to reach and communicated well. Montepulciano, Montalcino, Pienza, and even Cortona are within fairly easy reach. We’d definitely recommend staying here.

The countryside here is wonderful, a spectacular part of Tuscany. If you’re after somewhere quiet, pretty, secluded, and with a pool, this place fits. Getting down the steep drive can be tricky for some; Gianomario guided us along the dirt track and around its dips. One night a big electric storm knocked out all the power, but Gianomario came by in the morning and got it sorted.
