Agriturismo Lunadoro

Lunadoro feels like visiting family in the countryside. The hosts are warm and go out of their way to help. When I had a problem with my car, they even called Avis rent-a-car in Italian to ask them to fix it. The farm is beautiful, tidy, and well built, with excellent rooms and breakfast. You can see Pienza from the pool, and the lovely landscapes and medieval towns are just minutes away. And Noé, with her daughters Vilma and Isota, the Dachshund family, are the cutest puppies in Tuscany. Thank you Gigliola, Dario, Veronica and Federico! We'll be back!

Our stay didn’t meet the expectations we’d formed from the reviews on this and other booking sites. Most concerning was how hostile and dismissive the hosts were when we shared feedback and asked for things to be addressed. The check-in was handled through a poor-quality WhatsApp video. The heating and air conditioning didn’t work, possibly because of cost saving; the mattress was much too soft and uncomfortable; and sound insulation was poor enough that banging doors could wake you. There were also bugs in the pool. There are much better places nearby, despite the great location.

The family’s kindness made my stay especially lovely. It’s a beautiful place, and I had a wonderful time. We’ll come back, maybe for a wedding!

I haven’t stayed here. I called to ask about availability, and the person who answered was rude. Even if you’re fully booked or require a minimum stay, please be kind. You never know if the person calling might become a client, or even a regular. You’ve lost one.
