We came to Monticchiello hoping to see the humble theater, where villagers act in and write a play performed in the square. That was a dream come true, but staying at Barbara's little house was an even bigger surprise. We had room 33 on the ground floor, with an olive grove view and a well-equipped kitchen. A magical, unforgettable visit to this lovely village in the Val d'Orcia. Thank you, we’ll be back!

The owner, Barbara, moved us into a larger apartment that happened to be free for our whole stay when she found out my travel companion snored like a wild boar. That let me sleep peacefully, and she didn’t charge extra. Thank you so much. Le Maribelle is a beautiful traditional Tuscan house looking out over hills and olive groves, and it feels straight out of a movie. Monticchiello is a stunning village in the heart of the Val d'Orcia. I can’t wait to come back.
