Oliviera Camere

The views are great, and being so close to the city center makes the location worthwhile even if you have to park a bit farther away. With a car, parking can be tricky, but you should find something within about 500 meters of the hotel. The staff are helpful and always nice to residents. Our flash wasn’t working properly on the first day, but it was fixed the next day. A very cozy hotel, and I recommend it. (Photo taken very close to the hotel.)

The stay with Oliviera‘s was friendly and pleasant, and our bed was comfortable, though it creaked whenever we moved. Noise was the bigger issue: the walls let through conversations and TV late at night, and the fans in other rooms made themselves heard and felt throughout ours. Hot water came and went. They did make up the room, which was nice, but for a place aiming to be a hotel, I expected basics like a fridge, cutlery or a wine opener, all of which I’ve found in similar places. There was also very little shampoo, supplied in single-use plastic packets, along with disposable cups, which didn’t feel sustainable.

The room was clean and the location was good, but there was no Wi-Fi. Keep in mind they only take cash, and the man working there couldn’t speak English.

For the price, it was great value. The place was basic, but very clean, and the owner was nice.
