Relais Val d'Orcia

We chose this property for six nights in June, wanting a pool and a base for visiting the hilltop towns of southern Tuscany, with some time to relax by the water too. The description, reviews, and beautiful photos of the rolling countryside set our expectations, and the stay gave us everything we hoped for and more. It's set among lovely rural hills, with spacious, tastefully decorated, top-class accommodation and stunning views in every direction. The food and drink suited our tastes perfectly and was delicious. The managers and staff were so friendly and helpful every day that, by the end, leaving felt sad. They'd become good friends, and we'll come back to visit. We never needed to search for a restaurant because they suggested their own favorites in every area we visited, and each was a real treat. I'd have no hesitation recommending Relais val d"Orcia to anyone looking for this kind of stay. You'll be well looked after and fall in love with the place and surroundings. The room was beautifully put together, spotless, and comfortable, with lots of thoughtful touches. Breakfast was fresh, local, and clearly made with care. Laura, the owner, made the stay feel especially welcoming with her warmth and help. We spent evenings watching incredible sunsets and then looking up at a sky full of stars. The pool sits naturally in the Tuscan hills and has such peaceful views. It was a romantic, restful place, and we left already hoping to come back.

We rented the entire villa for four days for our wedding, and it was unforgettable. The family who runs it were so kind and full of helpful insight, which made everything easy. The rooms were lovely, and the food was fresh and tasty, much of it sourced from local farmers. Everywhere you look, there's that classic Tuscan scenery. We'd definitely recommend it for a romantic getaway.

We only wished we could have stayed longer. The service was impeccable, and the building and room have been renovated really well. They made sure there was a gluten-free breakfast option, and the caprese salad we had one evening was delicious. We also appreciated the local produce. The setting is stunning.
