The hills around here are gorgeous, with forests, rocky slopes and rolling scenery. There are some lovely walks starting right from the agriturismo, though the trail signs can be patchy or missing. Piobicco is about a five-minute drive, Urbania is a small but surprisingly lovely old city about 15 minutes away, and Urbino is a real highlight. Le Porte del Vitoschio is good for climbing, or for a walk and a bit of time by the river. Sonja and Roberto run a peaceful little countryside retreat, and they're both wonderful hosts. There are five or six separate units, so you can keep to yourself or spend time with the other guests. It feels like a proper agriturismo, with fruit trees, vegetable gardens and animals including cows, chickens and sheep. You can visit the farm, and the children loved seeing a newborn lamb. Produce from the farm, like tomatoes, cheese, meat and wine, is sold in a small shop. Sonja makes one simple but delicious meal for everyone each evening. You can sign up in the morning if you'd like to join dinner. The place was comfortable and clean overall. The beds are quite hard, and during our two-week stay it would have been nice to have the room cleaned once. There were quite a few flies, probably because of the farm. It's an agriturismo, though, not a five-star hotel. A lovely place for a holiday, owned by two lovely people, and one I'd happily recommend.

Just perfect.

The room was cozy and comfortable, and it even had a little kitchen. The pool and hot tub were lovely, and the price was excellent for what you get. I came for three nights in August and wished I could stay longer. The place is even more beautiful in person than in the photos. It's only a few minutes from Piobbico and the Nerone trails. Sonia and Roberto were always available and made the visit special. I'd definitely come back.

There’s lots of room for kids to play, so it works really well for families too. Sonja and Roberto are so kind, and the appetizer platters and meals are delicious, made with their own produce and local ingredients. The rooms are excellent, the pool is lovely, and the views are stunning. A beautiful agriturismo if you're after some peace and quiet. One tip, learn a bit of Italian, as English isn't spoken here.
