Casa Cristina

The area is fantastic, and we still had some lovely days there. The apartment worked for five adults and was on the sixth floor, with an elevator. It has air conditioning, which was welcome in the August heat. The location is handy too, near the beach and town, and about a 40-minute walk to the port if you’re heading to Elba. The water came out very slowly. Worse, the fridge wasn’t cold when we arrived, even though we had food that needed refrigerating. We told the host after five hours; he said a technician would come the next day, but nobody showed up. We ended up throwing some food away. I gave it three stars because of the fridge problem, especially since we’d paid a fair amount to rent the apartment.
