Hotel Centrale

The only thing I missed was a way to make coffee in the room. Otherwise, room 211 was a pleasure, with a lovely view, balcony, comfortable bed, good air conditioning and a mini fridge. There's an elevator, too, and the ladies at reception were wonderful and really helpful.

We found it an easy five-minute stroll to the centre, with bars and restaurants nearby. The hotel has a lovely family feel, and it's in a good location. Everything was very clean, the staff were friendly and helpful, and the air conditioning actually worked, which was a bonus. Secure parking is available if you book and pay for it. Beautiful place.

At around 2am on our second night, a guest was shouting down the corridor toward reception. We called to complain about the noise, but got only a brief apology and the shouting carried on. The first morning, two staff members had been yelling at each other in front of us during breakfast, which was awkward and unpleasant. We stayed two nights in June and wouldn't come back. There seem to be serious staff and management problems that affect guests.

I'm still here as I write this, and so far it's been an amazing choice. Loved it, highly recommend.
