Ai 4 Elementi

The owners were really helpful and listened when we had a concern. The breakfast room was cute, and the rooms were clean with decent Wi-Fi and bathrooms. It’s an easy, quiet place to spend a night before a flight, with the airport about a 10-minute walk away. Pisa centre is less close, though you can get there by bus. Good price, and in April we didn’t hear the planes.

We stayed in the Wind room, one of four rooms named for the elements, right beside the shared bathroom. It was clean, tidy and nicely arranged, and the bathrooms were in good shape too. The place is only about 4-6 minutes from Pisa airport arrivals, which is handy for a late landing. Rates felt fair, especially with the buffet and light Italian-style breakfast included. In warm weather there are plastic tables, chairs and umbrellas in the front garden for a meal or a drink. Seems suitable for a short stop whether you’re travelling alone, as a couple or with family.

One of the women was unnecessarily aggressive in the morning. At five to ten I was carrying our luggage out while my husband went to get the hire car, but she pointed and wagged her finger at the sign saying guests and bags had to be off the property by ten. I was already leaving. The night before, though, the male owner had met us at midnight after our very late flight and was pleasant and accommodating. The rooms were comfortable and clean, and breakfast was nice.

The room beside the bathrooms got a bit noisy, with people coming and going. Sharing a bathroom wasn’t ideal, but it was manageable. It’s a decent place to sleep before an early or late flight, about a five-minute walk from both the Metro and the airport.
