We found shops and restaurants close by, and the airport was only a five minute walk away. Check-in was easy, the house was very clean, and the room was large with a comfortable bed. It's no frills, but perfectly fine for a night or two.

The host's attitude made an already bad stay much worse. When we wouldn't pay the extra charge in cash, he chased us away and said, "this is Italy, this is my house and if you don't like it, get out." We felt completely unwelcome, and the lack of customer service was shocking. The shared bathroom served all four rooms, so eight people had one toilet between them. It was badly outdated, hard to keep clean, and had a persistent smell. In the room, the glass door gave almost no privacy or sound insulation from other guests. The furnishings were sparse, including a gym bed with no headboard, and three worn-looking blankets covered the duvet space. Check-in was another problem. Arriving even a minute before the stated 11.00 pm check-in time meant paying an extra 20 euros to be let in. The rules felt ridiculous for a place calling itself a B&B. With the fee, poor facilities, and the host's behavior, I strongly advise looking elsewhere.

We stayed here a couple of years ago and it was a miserable experience. The air-conditioning didn't work, and we weren't allowed to use the kitchen to make tea or put water bottles in the fridge. It was listed as a B&B, but there was no breakfast. Apparently Frances thinks B&B means bed and board. Find somewhere with a more reasonable host.

We had a very nice stay at B&B Francesco. Francesco was friendly and helpful, gave us lots of good suggestions for places to visit in Pisa, and helped us find a decent car repair shop after our car broke down.
