Dojna gave us a warm welcome and showed us around, making us feel at home. The house was clean and cozy, with comfortable beds and lots of room to unpack for a stay of a few days. Each room has air conditioning, a heater, and a TV. The house itself is beautiful and spacious. There's a bus stop outside, the airport is a five-minute walk away, and the train station is just down the street. Street parking was easy to find and very cheap. The city isn't far, and restaurants, markets, pasticcerias, and a pizzeria are nearby. Dojna was amazing, such a sweet soul, and the hospitality was wonderful. We'll be back and recommend her place to our loved ones. Cheers, until next time! 😊❤️ A few apps might make getting around easier: Trenitalia for train tickets; EasyPark for paying for parking online; Waze for speed cameras and avoiding ZTL areas, where an unregistered resident can incur large fines by entering accidentally; TAXImove for booking a taxi online without having to call in Italian, it's like an Uber version for Pisa; AppTaxi, which works across Italy; Viator for finding activities in the city or nearby; and Translate, with Italian downloaded so you can translate without internet. A couple of useful things we learned: National Museums have free entry on the first Sunday of the month. For regular city trains without reserved seats, such as those unlike Frecciarossa and Frecciabianca, a missed train ticket can be used for another four hours. If a bus has a card logo outside, you can pay by card after boarding, so there's no need to carry coins or buy tickets at little kiosks.
