Hotel Amalfitana

The beds and pillows were comfortable, and the staff were helpful and easy to approach. The room was okay, but the hotel is very old and there's a strange smell as soon as you enter. The shower is the main problem, it's so tiny you can't move your arms around once you're in. I'd only recommend staying a night or two. It felt a bit overpriced for the state of the room and bathroom. Two stars for the staff and their generosity.

Not the best hotel, though not the worst either. Good value, and the location is excellent, between Pisa Centrale Station and the Leaning Tower.

The room gave us a strong, awful smell from the entrance onward, and there was mold on the walls. Our bed was dirty when we arrived. When I reported it, they moved us to another room without apologizing. Soap and shampoo weren’t replenished, the bidet didn’t work, and something there set off our allergies badly. The stay was torture. The location is the only plus, though Pisa is small enough to walk around, so that’s not much of an advantage. I’d stay away.

We needed somewhere for a quick stay in Pisa, and this worked out really well. The room was roomy and clean, with a lovely view of Pisa. The price was great, and the staff were so friendly and helpful.
