Inexpensive, and very close to the seaside.

We stayed with family and found it very convenient for getting around. There’s parking, and shops, cafes, and other amenities nearby, plus a free beach and lovely places to walk. Pisa is 15 minutes away. The owner was very nice, and breakfast was good, thank you! Everything was clean. It isn't modern, but that's fine when you're mostly there to sleep. The place was very quiet, and easy to use as a base for outings with the family.

Breakfast was generous, and when we asked, it was brought out to the courtyard. The place itself was peaceful and comfortable, tucked into a cul-de-sac with no traffic noise. Our hostess was cheerful, thoughtful, and quick to help with anything we needed. We had a lovely stay, thank you!

We were greeted in the garden with a really good breakfast: toast with cheese and prosciutto, pastries, yogurt, fruit juice, hot drinks, jam, honey, and more. The hostess also explained in English how to reach the beach and find the showers. It's about a 10-minute walk to the sea, and there's a shared kitchen with dishes and a fridge of beer, wine, and water at fair prices. We arrived around 11 at night to find the apartment closed, but after calling the number on the window, the owners showed up within ten minutes. They were a pleasant couple, and check-in was quick. The rooms were clean and cozy, with two rooms on each of the two floors and a shared bathroom. Marina di Pisa felt more like a place for yacht owners than a resort, with canals and backwaters full of moored boats.
