Miramare Resort

We had a great stay at the Miramare Resort in the second week of July and would gladly return. Andrada was very friendly, helpful, and spoke really good English. The resort felt safe, including at the beach, where lifeguards were stationed by the water. Just be careful with small kids, as the water isn’t very shallow. Our Trilo apartment had 2 bedrooms + a lofty and was more than enough for us. It includes a small kitchen with an ok amount of utensils, but there’s no water kettle, a micro, or a toaster. For toast, you may need to use the oven or buy fresh bread. There are a few bakeries nearby, as well as the small food markets Conrad and Coop. The private beach is only a couple of minutes away, and the apartment deal included 4 beach chairs and 2 beach umbrellas, which is handy since rentals aren’t cheap in high season. There’s no pool, but we didn’t miss having one. The cost line is nice and clean, though private beaches and chairs and brollies cover basically the whole stretch to Marina di Pisa, so there are many options if you want to go somewhere else. Pisa is about 20mins away, and Florence is less than an hour away.

Pretty good for the price, which is on the low side.

The apartments are kept clean and in good shape, each with a nice private garden fitted with a table, umbrella, and clothesline. You can go straight to the beach from there, and the center of Tirrenia with its amenities is nearby.

Misleading advertising and the worst place I’ve stayed in 40 years of vacations. The facilities were broken, and the dishes were dirty. There wasn’t a private garden with greenery, just concrete and a fence. Noise from the coastal road, only 10 meters away, made the accommodation unlivable. Nobody responded to my complaints and I was asked to write. Here I am! Be careful before booking.
