Residenza Cisanello

There’s no reception, but the very kind lady in charge showed me to my room and explained everything. Residenza Cisanello Guesthouse is very close to the hospital, though it’s hard to find without Google Maps. It’s in an apartment building, and the rooms are spacious, with en-suite bathrooms and large TVs. The kitchen is fully equipped and has a big refrigerator. Cleaning happens every morning, but it isn’t very thorough. The walls need repainting to cover the mosquito blood. Otherwise, I’d stay again.

The shared kitchen was a nice change from repetitive hotel stays, and the room was large with comfortable beds. The private bathroom was huge, and everything was clean. They provided plenty of linens and soaps, including shampoo and shower gel, more than I’ve had at any hotel. The identical buildings have a retro look, which is the only drawback, but being close to the hospital and public services is convenient for visitors or patients.

It’s a comfortable B&B with simple furnishings, in-room TVs and Wi-Fi. Self-catering facilities are available, and reserved parking too. The very kind owner, Silvia, suggested a shower mat and a drying rack to hang by the window. Cisanello Hospital is just 150 meters away.

Being able to park on site for the length of our hospital visits was a huge help, and the hospital is right across the road. The shared area has a table and everything needed to make a coffee or something to eat, including a stove, fridge and utensils. Our room was spotless and full of character, as well as well equipped. Perfect.
