We barely saw anyone along the pine forest path to the beach during our two weeks, and walking it at a normal pace took 15-20 minutes. By car it was only four minutes, though finding parking could be hard on weekends or around mid-August. The distance is a bit inconvenient. The other drawback was the huge number of locusts on some evenings around the theater and garbage area. The complex is surrounded by uncultivated fields, which is probably the reason. Things seemed better after the dry grass was cut in some areas, and more attention there might help the evening shows. The entertainers put a lot into them. We stayed in an apartment in the Village, not a vacation rental but a residential complex, for two weeks between July and August 2023. Casa EleGio' was the apartment, reviewed separately. Blu Village 1 and 2 each have a pool, open from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm and 4:00 pm to 7:30 pm. The pool and general spaces in section 2 are definitely larger. There’s also a bar, restaurant, and pizzeria beside the pool, which I’ve reviewed separately. The Village is generally well kept, each unit has a parking space, and there are several bike racks and a small playground. Cleaning staff and pool attendants were active and helpful. The daytime and evening entertainment is a highlight, along with the pool and playground. Jolly Animation’s young team livened up the poolside mornings and afternoons, then ran theater shows and games in the evening. Baby dance started at 9:30 PM and events continued until midnight. Between the two villages there’s a stage with plenty of seating, plus a beach volleyball court inside; I think I also spotted a soccer field near the entrance. The entertainers organized sports tournaments and card games too. Thanks to Davide, Doni, Gabriele, Angela, Vittoria, Nicol, Gigiolone, Samu, and Clelia, and anyone I’ve forgotten, for filling our days with smiles. They were cheerful and always around without being pushy. There was excellent entertainment for all ages. Nearby, there’s only a small supermarket with slightly higher than average prices, a greengrocer, and a little shop that seemed to sell things left over from who knows how many seasons rather than new stock. There isn’t even a newsstand.
