Tenuta San Tommaso

We could park our motorcycle right outside the room, which made this a great stop for travelers like us. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the property has a well-equipped playground for families with children. We stayed one night; our room was spacious and very clean, with a fridge stocked with water, a coffee maker, pods and sugar, plus cutlery, plates, and cups. The restaurant was excellent too, with traditional grilled food and pizza.

There were 80 of us, and the whole group was looked after so well. The kitchen and dining room teams were impeccable, each of them professional in their role. Ivano deserves a special mention: his cooking was superb, turning simple ingredients into dishes everyone enjoyed. They checked what each person needed, including allergies and intolerances, and even asked how we wanted our meat cooked. The owner was one of a kind, humble, generous with his help, and full of good advice. I'm honored to have met him and his wonderful family. We'll be back many times. Everything felt just like home, in the warmest, most intimate sense. Whenever we asked for something, we heard, "Make yourself at home!" The attention, kindness, listening, smiles, and care with details were all there, along with great cleanliness. It was a magical place, and there aren't enough stars to rate it. Highly recommended.

Nature lovers will enjoy it, though I'd give tranquility a 3. The playground is fantastic, so it's a great spot for people with children. The rooms were spotless, not a cobweb in sight, even with the high ceilings. Mrs. Luisa is lovely, warm, and welcoming.

I didn't get to try the pizza, so that's a reason to come back. The meal I did have was memorable, with superlative cooking from Chef Ivano, and the wait staff did a great job despite being so young. I'd highly recommend the place for an event or simply for dinner.
