I stayed for three days and felt completely at ease in this agriturismo surrounded by nature. It’s only 4-5 km from central Pistoia, and the value was excellent at €50 + €5 for breakfast, especially during the Pistoia Blues Festival, when prices can shoot up with the big crowds the event brings in. Staff were friendly and efficient. My room was spacious, modern, functional, and impeccably clean, with a large bathroom. The air conditioning worked perfectly, the Wi-Fi was fast and good quality, and the mini fridge had 3-4 complimentary bottles of water. Entry to the building and rooms uses smart cards, with two per room for guests to keep throughout their stay. There’s free private parking. Breakfast was good and more than adequate, though not abundant. I didn’t try the restaurant, but I’ll do that next time. The outdoor dining area is welcoming and relaxing.

We received a good welcome, and the room was clean, but the bathroom was small and dark. The music went on loudly until 4 a.m., so we couldn’t sleep at the property. You book a farmhouse expecting to relax, but that wasn’t our experience. At Vivaio, breakfast was poor and there was no freshly squeezed juice. The waitress brought the cold cuts without cutlery, which was disappointing. I wouldn’t return or recommend it to anyone looking for the farmhouse experience it’s presented as. It might work as a place for a night out.

The food is very good, and the prices are normal for an agriturismo. There’s a pretty garden, plenty of parking inside and out, and the place is attractive and well maintained indoors and outdoors. My only complaint, and the reason for 4 stars instead of 5, is that the air conditioning had already been used, or so they said. I had to eat in the scorching August heat, 40 degrees. The rooms are even nicer than the photos suggest, and they’re very clean and well looked after. Breakfast is generous and served with real care. The whole place is charming, green, and cared for down to the smallest detail. The staff are exceptional and attentive to every guest’s needs. Just exceptional!
