Villa Desiderio TUSCANY

We had such a good time here. The owners were lovely and suggested places to visit on our trip, which we really appreciated. Breakfast was delicious, with plenty to choose from. There’s a lovely view, clean rooms, and a great pool with space to sunbathe and relax. Getting to the villa might seem difficult, but we took a taxi from central Pistoia without any trouble. It cost about 25-30 euros. I’d definitely recommend it to friends and family looking for somewhere quiet to unwind.

Villa Desiderio is a beautiful place, with everything clean and well kept and amazing views. The owners were kind and helpful, and breakfast was delicious. I hope I can come back someday!

The owner was always friendly, made us a delicious breakfast, and was ready to help whenever we needed. We really appreciated his tips on places to visit. Inside and out, the villa is beautiful, well furnished, and very peaceful. It sits quite high up, so the drive there felt unusual at first, but the view is worth it. One thing I’d have liked was a kitchen guests could use, with at least some cutlery, glasses, a fridge, and a microwave. That didn’t spoil our holiday, though. We were very happy!

The view is fantastic, and the outdoor area is hard to beat. The owners were lovely and helpful, and the service from Emma's villas was perfect. We enjoyed our stay. The kitchen was fine, two of the bedrooms we used were very nice and the third was okay. We didn’t use the living rooms, but they seemed fine. There’s parking at the property, and it’s a good location, a short drive from a supermarket and restaurants in Pistoia. We took the train from Montale to Lucca and Firenze. A few practical things came up. The gravel road to the villa is in bad shape, so rent a suitable car. The pizza oven takes about 5-6 hours to heat and wasn’t practical for making our own pizza. We knew from Emma's villas’ description that one bedroom had no air conditioning, but it was too warm for us to sleep in, so we bought a new unit at the supermarket and left it there with the receipt and box. The owners could replace it free of charge at the supermarket if it isn’t working. The indoor barbecue wasn’t something we used. We knew the pool was cleaned for bugs every morning, and cleaned it ourselves before swimming too. Bugs are to be expected there, but the lack of water circulation didn’t help. The owners said they could bring a pizza oven up and make pizza for us for a fee, but that wasn’t what we wanted. We wanted to make it ourselves, and the villa’s oven wasn’t practical. Maybe the description should be changed?
