B&B Casa Dei Mille

Set in the historic center, this is a family-run B&B with rooms in an apartment shared with the owners. They were helpful, and breakfast was plentiful. Parking was the letdown: we drove around town three times looking for a free spot, then had to use a paid one.

Breakfast was a real plus, with Rossana ready in the morning to make coffee or whatever you wanted, plus plenty of croissants, cookies, and other choices. We had a great time here. The old family home feel comes through in the photos and keepsakes preserved around the property. My partner and I stayed with friends in the room with two double beds, a mezzanine, and an ensuite bathroom. It’s a standard size and works well for four, though the mezzanine is high enough that you need to watch your head at the ceiling. I’ve never seen a room this clean, and they even cleaned the bathroom during our two-day stay. The bathroom door feels dated and could do with being replaced. The B&B is right in Pizzo’s center, down the stairs from the historic streets and shops.

The room had a breathtaking view, and breakfast was delicious. We stayed two nights in the historic center of Pizzo, where the location is excellent. The woman who welcomed us was kind and very helpful. Great value for money, highly recommended.

Sleep was excellent, and breakfast came with a generous range of choices. This is a clean, discreet little B&B in Pizzo’s historic center, reached on foot by a flight of steps. There are two rooms, each with its own bathroom, though the bathrooms are down the hall rather than inside the rooms. The owner was very kind, and there’s a free parking lot nearby.
