A fantastic B&B with an amazing host. Highly recommend it.

The place could be lovely, but cleanliness and attention were lacking, so I strongly advise against staying here. We arrived and contacted the owner, who had forgotten our reservation. As soon as the door opened, there was a musty smell. Hair was sticking out from under the bed, cobwebs were around the TV, the sauna was dirty, and the garden was untended. The next morning we expected the promised breakfast, but got nothing.

We had a wonderful weekend in the Merope hydrosuite. Francesca sent us all the information we needed to arrive and get into the villa in the countryside. She was very kind, and I'd highly recommend her. We'll be back soon.

The outside was the best part, though it was raining and we couldn't enjoy it. I wouldn't recommend staying here. We booked through a Wonderbox package because the property was a partner, and the reviews had drawn us in, especially the sauna and hot tub. There was a musty smell as soon as we entered. The tub was dirty, with hair and fur in it. We disinfected and filled it, but when we switched on the hot tub, a strong "rotten egg" smell came from the holes. Water leaked from the bottom, and everything was still wet the next morning because the house is damp. The sheets didn't smell clean either. There was no towel hanger in either the bathroom or kitchen. The pots and pans were greasy and dirty. The manager wrote that guests are expected to leave the place clean, but it still needs sanitizing, and anything left behind should be checked. The self-catering breakfast was a carton of milk, two muffins, two Kinder brioches, and two packets of crackers that were obviously old. The sauna wasn't bad.
