The bedroom has a high, cool dome-like ceiling, and there's an open-plan living space with a bathroom and bedroom. The kitchen is fully equipped with an espresso maker, gas stove, washing machine and dishes. The bathroom is small, as is common in Italy, but has shampoo, gel and other basics. The location is ideal for seeing Puglia, just a couple of steps from the seafront and about five minutes from via Roma. In the evening that street becomes pedestrian, with lots of restaurants serving all kinds of Italian food.

The stay is right by the sea, which is a big plus, and the room has a lovely feel to it. The caretaker was really friendly. The kitchen has everything you need, and if you don't feel like cooking, Gola snacks is right by the stay and sells fried snacks at night.

I loved staying there, it's a really great place. The one thing that bothered me is they ask you to pay in cash, so I'm pretty sure it's because they don't pay taxes.

The construction happening all over Polignano also affected the sea view, which was a shame, though it's not the host's fault and didn't change my rating. This is a small apartment on a little seafront street, close to the center but away from the chaos. It has everything you need, and despite entrances from both the main street and a small square beside a pub, the good windows keep out the noise. Gianni was lovely, let us use his parking space and even arranged an early check-in.

Gianni was fantastic, attentive and quick to help with any concerns. Parking can be tricky since it's prohibited in many areas, but he helped us find a spot. The location was very convenient. Breakfast was provided in two baskets, with pastries, toast and jam, as well as yogurt, milk, coffee and tea.
