Casedamare

Catia was very attentive and helpful, and guests have Wi-Fi plus a handbook with useful phone numbers and tourist information. The modern apartment is well equipped, with two terraces furnished with loungers, a table and outdoor seating. There's plenty of free parking, and it's a handy spot away from the busy centre, which is still only a five-minute walk away. The apartment complex has a pharmacy, tobacconist, bar and pizzeria, including one with gluten-free food; the supermarket is a two-minute walk. It's also convenient for getting onto the state highway for trips outside Polignano. The penthouse is on the second floor, and the building has no elevator.

The receptionist was extremely kind and helpful. The attic we rented had the basic comforts, but the air conditioning didn't do enough since it was only in the living area, and some ambient lighting would be useful in the evenings. Being on the top floor, it also gets quite a lot of sun. The location is about 1 km from the centre, which can feel like a long way on foot in the hottest part of the day. Still, there are practical advantages: it's near the main roads, with plenty of free parking nearby, a public drinking fountain, a good pizzeria 50 metres away and a large supermarket 100 metres away. The house is in a courtyard complex with other rentals under the same ownership, set up specifically for tourists.

The two big terraces made the stay especially comfortable, and the apartment was spotless, elegant, and welcoming. I had a wonderful week there. Polignano is lovely, and I’d pick Casedamare again if I’m back in the area.

Catia made us feel so welcome and was quick to help with anything we needed. She also gave us great suggestions for the most beautiful, characteristic places to see. The attic apartment was lovely, clean, well equipped, and only a few minutes from the center. Puglia leaves you with so many feelings, and heading home is always hard.
