Dimora Pascali

This felt more like paying to stay in someone's home than at a hotel or Airbnb, and there was a big gap between the listing and what we found. The pictures made it look as if the kitchen would be available, but it was blocked off. They also gave the impression that the property was right by the beach, with an ocean view from the balcony. That wasn't true either. The bathroom was outside the room, something we weren't told before booking. These details only came out on the morning of our reservation, which was also when our booking was cancelled, reportedly so they wouldn't have to pay commission. The room and privacy were limited, and for two nights we paid 556 USD. I could have stayed somewhere roomier, more private, and cheaper. This isn't about the money, it's the misleading information. Please be aware.

We left feeling unsafe after a deeply upsetting stay and reported the proprietor to the police for assault and misrepresentation. When we raised concerns about the room, the proprietor shouted at us, frightened our children, and assaulted me. We had arrived expecting the special family upgrade we'd discussed by phone, with two double beds. Instead, the property didn't match that conversation or the online pictures, and we were told to pay before seeing the room. What we were shown was a double bed with a single sofa bed, plus a so-called private bathroom down a public hallway with surveillance cameras. The B&B has one en-suite bedroom, one room without a private bathroom, and the owner's bedroom also serves as the kitchen and breakfast room. We were told to watch out for misrepresentation and aggressive behavior, and would advise considering somewhere else. The communication, customer service, and clarity about the rooms need to improve so others don't go through this. We also don't trust the five-star reviews. The ratings seem to be abused. Read the one-star reviews and the owner's aggressive responses, including threats of defamation, denying visits, claims that people hadn't read the small print, and naming the Lord.

The B&B is only about a five-minute walk from the historic centre and Via Roma. Giuseppe and his wife Maria made us feel very welcome, and they were thoughtful and helpful throughout, going the extra mile. Our room and bathroom were extremely clean and comfortable. Thanks to Giuseppe and Maria for the hospitality, lovely breakfast, and all the time and attention they gave us.

Everything nearby was an easy walk from this location, and we'd happily stay here again. Our hosts were friendly, thoughtful, and always willing to help. The rooms were very clean and comfortable.
