I think I visited with my best friend in 2015, and I still remember how the place made me feel and how good the food was. The owner’s foraged mushrooms were so delicious, and the ricotta was unforgettable. Waking up to sheep and other animals calling was a new experience for me. I loved the vibe and the amazing view from this spot in the mountains. My wonderful friend did the driving to get us there.

The countryside was so quiet and the view was beautiful. We had an amazing dinner, with homemade food that was the best we ate in Sicily. The owner was really friendly, and Luigi was a perfect host too. I’d recommend this place to anyone.

We stayed through the afternoon and got to watch the sun go down over the mountains. It’s a gorgeous place, and the people are lovely. Lunch was fantastic: a spread of hot and cold appetizers, two light, fresh pasta dishes, then meat grilled almost right in front of us. Our friendly host explained each dish and where its ingredients came from. You can tell how much care goes into what they serve. We’d love to return for a couple of nights.

We could really unwind at Donna Lavia and enjoy the surrounding nature as well as the place itself. The owner was so lovely, and dinner there was delicious. We had a wonderful stay and will definitely come back. Johannes and Maya

On the way from Ortigia to Palermo, we stopped for lunch and were glad we did. The owner made our antipasti and pasta, and it was easily one of the best meals we had in Sicily. Wish we’d had time to stay longer.
