Simon Hotel

The room was spacious and clean, and the fenced parking area is close to the hotel. The customer service was friendly and knowledgeable. We picked Simon Hotel for our last night in Rome because it’s near the airport, then found out it’s also close to Designer outlet Mall. A few basic things were missing from the room, including a toothbrush and coffee.

The area is a bit industrial, as we knew, and Rome is far away, but Torvaianica beach is handy and there’s a supermarket just across the road. The hotel itself feels secure, has plenty of parking, and there was a safe and a fridge in our room. The rooms were spotless, with a kettle and English Tea, which I really appreciated. Breakfast was very nice too. The accommodation is to a really good standard, but what makes this place is the staff. They’re wonderful, friendly, and impeccably trained. We’d stayed at another Pomezia hotel before, and this one’s the best.

I’ve stayed here three times for work in Rome. It’s quiet and outside the town center, with easy, secure parking and a supermarket just a five-minute walk away for anything you forgot. The rooms are a good size, the bathroom showers are good, and the air conditioning worked well. Staff are welcoming, quick, and efficient. Breakfast was good, and although I didn’t eat in the restaurant in the evening, it seemed to have a good selection. A perfect stay for me.

The beds were good and the basic rooms were clean. It’s odd that guests can’t switch the air conditioning on or off or set the temperature themselves, since reception has to do it. The restaurant food was average, and the pasta was overcooked, though it tasted okay.
